Tuition Payment Policies

– Please note: a nonrefundable $30 registration fee ($45 for a family of 2+ students) is due at time of enrollment.
– A full season of dance is 31 classes from September to May. Tuition rates are averaged and paid monthly for the full season (9 installments September-May) regardless of the actual number of classes in a given month.
– All tuition payments will be handled through Auto Pay. A valid debit or credit card is required on file through Dance Studio Pro at all times . Tuition will be run on the 5th day of each month (September-May.)
Registration fee and 50% of first month’s tuition are due upon enrollment
– In the event you prefer to avoid running your card, please pay by cash or check by the 1st of each month.
Accounts not paid within terms are subject to an accruing 5% monthly finance charge until paid.
Accounts more than 60 days past due may be submitted to collection services.
50% Spring Showcase deposit is due November 15th will be paid by automatic bank account debit or automatic credit card
Remaining 50% Spring Showcase Performance/Costume fee is due on February 14th.

30 minute weekly class = $34/month
45 minute weekly class = $58/month
1 hour weekly class = $68/month
1.25 hour weekly class = $84/month
1 hour private lesson = $90
30 minute private lesson = $45

Discounts

Multi Class Discount 5% off total tuition for 2+ classes (per family, so this also acts as a sibling discount)
All Styles Discount 12% off total tuition when a single student in Primary, Mini and Junior levels takes all dance styles offered
GOLD CREW Discount 18% off total tuition for a student selected for GOLD CREW and enrolled in 7 classes/week.

Attendance Policies

Regular attendance is essential to individual student progress and class cohesion. Please make every effort to attend each class.
– For classes missed by the student, she/he may make up missed classes in a different dance style at the same level, or in the same dance style at a different level until February 1. (All make ups require pre-approval from the class instructor.)
– There will be no refunds or tuition credits for missed classes.
– In the event a student misses more than two of the final eight classes before Spring Showcase (after March 9th) the student may be ineligible to participate in the routine at the discretion of the teacher.

Withdraw Policies

– There is a two month minimum for all class enrollments.
One month/30 day notice from the first of the month is required to discontinue any payments.
Withdrawls after Feb 1st will be charged 50% of remaining annual tuition.
To withdraw, a parent must email the owner directly.
Automatic tuition charges will stop after the one-month notice period.
– In the event of severe illness/injury, loss of employment or other immediate circumstance, withdraws without financial penalty will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Written proof may be requested.

Private Lesson Cancellation Policy

– All private lessons cancelled with more than 24 hours notice will not be charged.
– Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours but at least 4 hours notice will be charged 50%.
No-shows will be charged the full amount.

Instructor Substitution & Class Cancellation/Rescheduling Policies

– In the event of instructor illness or extenuating circumstance, GDD will attempt to provide a substitute teacher. If a sub is not available the class will be cancelled and a make up will be scheduled.
– In the case that a class is cancelled by Gold Dust Dance and no make-up is offered, a tuition credit will be issued for the individual class at the value of $18/hour.
– There will be no refunds for weather caused cancellations/closures but we will do our best to provide make up options.
We also reserve the right to reschedule, combine classes, or cancel due to low enrollment.

Safety & Security Policies

Outside of class instruction, students will not be directly supervised by an adult in or outside of the building.
– For safety and security please drop off and pick up your child no more than 10 minutes before/after class.
Students under 10 years old must be escorted to and from the building by an adult.
Late pick ups (more than 10 minutes after the last class of the evening) are subject to a late fee.
In the case of a one-off event, please contact the instructor directly with at least 24 hours notice.

Parent Observation

In-class parent observation is allowed for the last 5 minutes of every class.
During scheduled observation weeks, parents will be invited to join us for the entire class.
– We ask that you observe quietly with cell phones turned off, and that siblings are monitored and quiet during observations.
– In the case of a special out of town visitor such as a close family member who would like to observe, please contact the teacher directly in advance for an individual arrangement.

Spring Showcase

– In May we will present our year’s work at our Spring Showcase at Battle Mountain High School. Taking the stage is an extremely important part of dance training and we strongly encourage (but do not require) all students to participate.
Mandatory dress rehearsal dates will be published by Nov. 1st
– A Showcase performance deposit is due November 15th and will be paid by automatic bank account debit or automatic credit card unless otherwise specified.

Costume fee is due on February 14th.
– Our top priority is to prepare our young dancers for a successful performance experience. Please take note of the attendance policy above for class and rehearsals leading up to The Showcase.
– In the event a student misses more than two of the final eight classes before Spring Showcase (after March 9th) the student may be ineligible to participate in the routine at the discretion of the teacher.
Dress Rehearsal is MANDATORY for all students.

Lost & Found

– A lost & found box will be located in the studio at each location.
– All unclaimed items will be donated to the Edwards Thrifty on the last day of each month.
